This project aims to develop a web-based, public domain software tool to provide policymakers with a scientific basis for assessing the socioeconomic impacts of natural disasters, including indirect “ripple effects” across various economic sectors. As a secondary objective, the project also aims to deploy and beta test the software tool through internet access, social media and formal training courses.
