Economic Impact of Aviation, Travel and Tourism Industries in the Philippines

This study evaluated the socio-economic benefits and impacts of policy changes to the travel and tourism industries in the Philippines. Specifically, it has:
a) Conducted a multiplier analysis to estimate the direct, indirect and induced impact of travel and tourism sectors to the national economy
b) Constructed an industry map for aviation and tourism sectors to identify relevant backward and forward linkages.
c) Estimated the impact of liberalizing foreign direct investment in the air transport industry
d) Estimated the impact of increase in tourist arrivals resulting from an increase in airport capacity
