DBP’s ISSEP-I was launched in 1995 with the purpose of promoting industrial restructuring and development in the country through the provision of loans for small to medium scale investment enterprises. The impact assessment looked into the following: output effect, employment effect, export performance, technology adaption, and profitability of SME firms in relation to the loans granted to them through ISSEP-I.
