Guidelines on Access and Use of DLSU-AKI Data
The students and faculty members who plan to use the dataset handled by AKI will have to undergo the following procedure:
- Request for acquisition of dataset
- The student or faculty member should submit a Letter of Request addressed to the Data Administrator endorsed by a faculty (for students only). The letter must include the following:
- The date of request
- The desired dataset
- The desired variables
- The desired year of the dataset
- The purpose of the dataset
- The student or faculty member should submit a Letter of Request addressed to the Data Administrator endorsed by a faculty (for students only). The letter must include the following:
- Approval of the Data Administrator
- The Data Administrator will release the approved forms three (3) days after the submission of Letter of Request with the assessment of the necessary fees to be paid for the dataset.
- Upon receipt of the approval form, the student or faculty member will be given a payment slip to be processed in the accounting office. Price of the dataset will vary according to the dataset requested.
- After paying for the fee, the student or faculty must proceed back to AKI and present his or her receipt.
- Processing of Requested Dataset
- Once the fees are paid, the Data Administrator will release the dataset.
- Agreement between AKI represented by the Data Administrator and requesting party
- To ensure the privacy risks of the personal data on the datasets, the Data Administrator and student/faculty member would have to sign an agreement on the guidelines and use of the acquired dataset. The student/faculty should filled up and submit the consent form conforming that he/she will not allowed to share the datasets to anyone.
- The student/faculty is also expected to adhere to the provisions of the agreement.
- The student/faculty should submit a written report and a copy of the research project on the date stated on the agreement submitted to the Data Administrator. Failure to submit forfeits the opportunity of the student/faculty to apply for another dataset from AKI.
