Project: Developing a Multidimensional Economic Complexity Index
Duration: 6 months
Duties and Responsibilities:
About the project:
The pandemic has caused a major setback to the global economy. After implementing the longest lockdowns in the world, the Philippines has not returned to its pre-pandemic state despite experiencing higher growth rates in recent quarters. To ensure that the economy can sustain this level of economic growth, there is a need to evaluate the performance of the country in terms of economic complexity, through developing a multidimensional economic complexity index that will include education, research and innovation, gender equality, and environmental factors using input-output based metrics and other indicators.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the team in gathering data from government agencies/international organizations.
- Management of data to make it usable for the project team.
- Assist team in preparing reports
- Skills needed: Knowledgeable in Python programming and network science
