This study aims to achieve the following objectives:
● What are the trends on inter and intra-regional trade, FDI, and monetary flows in East Asia?
● What extent is East Asia vulnerable or immune to global economic shocks, especially in the United States and the European Union, given
that East Asia has been experiencing increasing intra-regional trade, FDI, and monetary flows.
●What macroeconomic adjustments should East Asia pursue in order to reduce its vulnerability to global economic shocks and help better
manage the imbalances in the global economy.
